Job summary

Network Optix seeks a Senior SDET, Web, to scale automation for the web app and API layer. You will architect test strategies, build Python-based frameworks, and enable fast, reliable CI across large test suites in containerized/VM environments.

You’ll partner with developers to push quality left, adopt AI-assisted tooling, and raise test coverage while maintaining stability for enterprise-grade video software.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of commercial software engineering or test automation experience.
• Proven track record designing and maintaining automated tests for web apps.
• Experience implementing API-level test automation to improve performance.
• Nice to have: containers/VMs for test environments; SSH/WinRM debugging.
• Experience with GUI automation for Qt-based desktop apps is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the technical direction of the web automation roadmap.
• Expand API-level automation to validate web apps efficiently.
• Optimize large test suites for fast CI cycles at MR scale.
• Collaborate with development teams to shift quality left.
• Maintain Python automation frameworks as product footprint grows.
• Identify bottlenecks and reduce flaky tests toward a zero-flake baseline.
• Debug complex failures using logs, traces, and network captures.
• Manage test environments built on containers and VMs.
• Adopt AI-assisted tooling to accelerate test authoring and debugging.
• Participate in code reviews and document engineering standards.
