Job summary

Transflo is seeking a Senior API Cloud Engineer to design, build, and scale secure, high-performing cloud integrations that connect customers, partners, and internal platforms. This hands-on technical leadership role where you’ll architect modern API solutions, drive cloud-native innovation, and leverage AI-powered development practices.

You’ll lead API design, serverless architectures, and AWS-based deployments, mentor engineers, and influence architectural decisions across the organization

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software or cloud engineering experience, including 3+ years focused on APIs, integrations, and AWS.
• Strong expertise in API design, serverless architectures, and cloud-native development.
• Deep experience with AWS, Terraform, Azure DevOps, and modern DevSecOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver enterprise-grade REST APIs, Webhooks, and WebSocket integrations.
• Build scalable, event-driven solutions using AWS services including API Gateway, Lambda, EventBridge, Step Functions, SQS, SNS, and CloudFront.
• Implement secure authentication and authorization using OAuth 2.0, OIDC, HMAC, mTLS, and AWS security best practices.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
• Drive observability and operational excellence using CloudWatch, Datadog, and distributed tracing tools.
• Mentor engineers and influence architectural decisions across the organization.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you’ll architect modern API solutions, drive cloud-native innovation, and leverage AI-powered development practices.

What We’re Looking For

• 7+ years of software or cloud engineering experience, including 3+ years focused on APIs, integrations, and AWS.
• Strong expertise in API design, serverless architectures, and cloud-native development.
• Deep experience with AWS, Terraform, Azure DevOps, and modern DevSecOps practices.
• Proficiency in Node.js, Python, or .NET/C#.
• Passion for building secure, reliable, customer-focused solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Transportation, logistics, or fleet technology experience.
• AWS certifications (Developer, Solutions Architect, or similar).
• Experience with API governance platforms, AWS CDK, ECS/EKS, or service mesh technologies.
