Job summary

Penske Media Corporation (PMC) is hiring a Senior Accounts Payable Manager to lead the AP function for multiple subsidiaries in our digital and print media businesses. The role reports to the Assistant Corporate Controller and oversees a team of AP specialists.

Based at our West Los Angeles HQ, PMC values in-person collaboration and requires 4 days on-site and 1 day remote. Strong knowledge of Coupa, NetSuite, Salesforce, and advanced Excel is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounts payable experience, including team leadership.
• At least 2 years of people management or supervisory experience.
• Strong experience with AP systems including Coupa, NetSuite and Salesforce.
• Strong Excel skills (e.g. vLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables).
• Ability to lead teams, meet tight deadlines and improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and develop the accounts payable team with training and performance reviews.
• Oversee daily AP operations to ensure timely invoice processing and payment execution.
• Review and approve payment runs and outstanding transactions per policy.
• Ensure compliance with vendor terms and internal controls.
• Manage month-end close activities for AP, including accruals and reconciliations.
• Support ERP implementations, upgrades and AP system enhancements.
• Maintain AP policies, procedures, and SOPs.
• Handle high volume inquiries from vendors and employees promptly.
• Collaborate with procurement and finance to improve AP processes.
• Oversee 1099 reporting and vendor compliance.
