Job summary

Viasat is seeking an experienced antenna design engineer to advance satellite communication solutions. You will develop and test reflector antennas and arrays, driving design from concept to implementation while collaborating with RF, mechanical, and systems teams.

The role involves running electromagnetic simulations, reviewing performance data, troubleshooting results, and contributing to design reviews to ensure cost and schedule goals are met.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of antenna design experience with satellite communications (reflectors/arrays).
• BS Electrical Engineering required; MS preferred.
• Proficient with analytical and programming tools (HFSS, TICRA, Matlab).
• Strong interpersonal and written communication; team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative antenna designs for satellite communications; analyze, model, and test antenna systems and components.
• Lead design reviews; collaborate with mechanical, RF, and systems engineers to meet cost and schedule targets.
• Run electromagnetic simulations, review performance data, troubleshoot hardware and test results; support lab measurements.
