Job summary

Mispro Biotech Services Corporation is seeking an experienced Animal Care Technician II to perform daily husbandry, vivarium operations, and client-facing support in a San Francisco-area site. This role reports to the Site Operations Site Supervisor and requires compliance with all regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in animal care within biotech or pharma settings, familiarity with AAALAC guidelines, and the ability to work independently with strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years animal care/vivarium operations (husbandry or related).
• High school degree required; 2-year degree in general science, animal science, or veterinary science desirable.
• ALAT preferred; encouraged upon employment.
• Prior animal care experience within Pharma, Biotech and/or academic in vivo research environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily animal husbandry and vivarium care following SOPs and regulations.
• Oversee vivarium operations and assist with supplies, waste management, and inspections.
• Maintain client communications and provide updates on animal conditions and studies.
• Ensure compliance with IACUC, QA, EPA, PHS, USDA and AAALAC protocols and policies.
• Support weekend, holiday, and after-hours operational duties.
