Job summary

Grid is seeking a seasoned Android Engineer to design, build, and scale our mobile product. You’ll work with product, engineering, and business leaders to deliver reliable experiences and impact grid users’ financial lives.

You’ll own features from UI to data synchronization, ensuring quality, accessibility, and performance. The role requires strong Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Firebase, and cloud familiarity, plus a mindset of autonomy and customer focus.

The role

We’re adding an Android Engineer to our team to help us build and scale our core product lines. You'll work closely with product, engineering and business leaders to create magical experiences. With access to multiple robust datasets, products, and clear objectives, you'll have a significant impact on Grid's progress as a business—as well as our users' happiness and success.

The tech stack

Our tech stack is based on Kotlin, Jetpack compose, Firebase, Dagger Hilt DI, GCP, Go, protobufs, BigQuery and MySQL. We have built our platform from the ground up to optimize for clean data sources, and we have made numerous investments into data warehousing, streaming analytics infrastructure and offline data cleanliness.

What we’re looking for:

• Self Starter: Confidence to prioritize work and delivery demonstrable results on a tight cadence.
• Domain Knowledge: Demonstrated experience or understanding of the financial industry, especially in the context of building and building FinTech products.
