Job summary

Redfin is seeking an experienced Android Platform Engineer to design and implement complex projects, enabling our app developers to ship top-rated real estate apps. You will contribute to the long-term Android strategy, collaborate across teams, and help advance best practices and design principles.

The role emphasizes cross-functional work with product and design, strong CS fundamentals, and curiosity about CI/CD and cloud technologies. Prior AI code-generation tool knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of development experience.
• At least 3 years of Native Android experience.
• Practical experience building Android applications in Kotlin and Java.
• Solid understanding of computer science and engineering fundamentals.
• Effective communication skills.
• Curious about mobile CI/CD and cloud development technologies, such as Bitrise and Jenkins.
• Deep knowledge of at least one AI code generation tool, such as GitHub Copilot, Anthropic Claude Code, Cursor, or similar.
