Job summary

Meta is seeking talented principal engineers to lead cross-functional teams and drive the technical direction of Android and related platforms. You will oversee complex problems, craft scalable features, and partner with product and engineering leaders to shape the roadmap across mobile and web initiatives.

You will mentor senior engineers, communicate intricate systems clearly, and steer long-term strategies that align with Meta's mission to connect billions of people worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience driving large cross-functional/industry-wide engineering efforts.
• Experience mentoring/influencing executive stakeholders across organizations.
• Experience communicating and working across functions to drive solutions.
• Proven track record of planning multi-year roadmap aligning short-term projects with long-term mission.
• 12+ years of programming experience in a relevant language OR 8+ years with a PhD.
