Job summary

Fanatics Collectibles is seeking a Senior Android Engineer in New York City to build scalable mobile experiences within the Fanatics ecosystem. You’ll own features end-to-end, partnering with Product, Design, Data, and Engineering to deliver compelling Android apps at scale.

You’ll lead in shaping technical solutions, mentoring engineers, and improving performance, reliability, and observability across our mobile platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building Android apps.
• Proficiency with Kotlin and the modern Android ecosystem.
• Strong knowledge of Android architecture, lifecycle, concurrency, networking, persistence, and performance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality Android applications using Kotlin and modern Android development practices.
• Own complex features from design through launch and operation.
• Collaborate with Product and Design to translate user needs into mobile experiences.
• Ensure reliability, scalability, accessibility, and performance across devices.
• Provide architectural input and mentorship to engineers.
• Improve code quality, testing, observability, and developer productivity.
