Job summary

Cohere is seeking a Senior Mobile Engineer to join North, our AI workspace platform. You will build and ship features for North and collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement interface elements, while ensuring security and privacy in all decisions.

As an Android expert, you will work closely with researchers to productionize models, explore new technologies, and adapt to fast-paced priorities. Bonus: experience with audio features is welcome.

Qualifications

• Experience with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose for Android apps.
• Built native apps for AI/tech companies or apps with broad user bases.
• Ability to read and fix issues outside the main codebase.
• Experience bootstrapping new projects and setting up architecture.
• Comfort in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities.
• Bonus: experience with audio features in apps.

We're seeking an Android expert to join our close-knit team, where you'll drive exceptional impact on mission-critical projects.

AS A SENIOR MOBILE ENGINEER, YOU WILL:

• Build and ship features for North, our AI workspace platform
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement interface elements
• As security and privacy are paramount, you will sometimes need to re-invent the wheel, and won’t be able to use the most popular libraries or tooling
• Collaborate with researchers to productionize state-of-the-art models and techniques
• Research new technologies and best practices

YOU MAY BE A GOOD FIT IF YOU:

• Have extensive experience with Kotlin with Jetpack Compose
• Built native applications for AI companies and/or built apps loved by many users
• You’re able to read and understand, and even fix issues outside of the main codebase
• You have experience bootstrapping new projects
• You excel in fast-paced environments and can execute while priorities and objectives are a moving target
• Bonus: you’ve worked on audio features for apps
