Google is seeking a software engineer for the Pixel camera team in the United States. You will join a team responsible for camera apps and the underlying subsystems, collaborating across product and ML teams to deliver high-performance, reliable experiences on Android devices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of software development experience in one or more languages (e.g., Java).
• 3 years testing, maintaining, or launching software products; 1 year in design and architecture.
• 3 years of Android application development.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-team initiatives to define, measure, optimize, and monitor key performance indicators in Pixel camera's android application code.
• Collaborate with camera feature and on-device ML teams to ensure features are optimized for speed, memory, and reliability.
• Develop and utilize telemetry data infrastructure to offer leadership insights crucial for verifiable high performance, reliability, and system health.
• Provide in-depth insights from advanced profiling tools to prioritize and validate improvements.
