Job summary

Future is building a personalized guidance system for lifelong health. We are hiring a Lead Android Engineer to set the technical direction for Future’s Android products and build the experiences our members use every day.

You’ll lead the Android team across phone and Wear OS apps, shaping onboarding, coaching messages, scheduling, workouts, data integration, and video calls while collaborating with product, design, backend, and iOS engineers.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional Android engineering experience.
• Deep Kotlin knowledge with Jetpack Compose, coroutines, and flows.
• Led architecture work in modular Android codebases.
• Shipped and supported applications on Google Play.
• Strong testing habits across unit, integration, UI and end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Lead Android implementation for coach-connected experiences with polished interfaces.
• Set direction for a multi-module Kotlin codebase using Compose, DI and unidirectional data flow.
• Guide Wear OS, Health Connect, sensors and device lifecycle integrations.
• Own app startup, performance, media playback, background work and data sync.
• Maintain code quality, testing coverage, and observability across the stack.
• Drive delivery quality with Gradle, GitHub Actions, Fastlane and Play Console.
• Lead the Android team through planning, design discussions, and reviews.
• Apply AI tooling in development while validating outputs before users see them.
