Job summary

Zipline is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to own analytics infrastructure and datasets that inform operational decisions across manufacturing, inventory, flight scheduling, dispatch, and customer delivery.

This role sits at the intersection of analytics, software engineering, and operations, requiring you to ship production-grade data models and pipelines with strict accuracy, latency, and auditability.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of analytics engineering, data engineering, or software engineering with ownership of production systems
• Strong SQL expertise and production-grade data modeling and governance experience
• Experience with Snowflake and dbt or equivalent, building reliable data pipelines

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end analytics products: define success metrics, schemas, ETL/ELT pipelines, and production datasets
• Deliver data quality checks, anomaly detection, and incident-response runbooks with defined SLAs
• Collaborate with Software, Hardware, Field Ops, and Manufacturing to fix upstream data quality issues
• Extend analytics harness with semantic layers, governance and data contracts for BI/AI tools
• Mentor and elevate the team with standards for testing, monitoring, and runbooks
• Act as DRI for at least one cross-functional analytics product such as delivery performance metrics or safety data lineage
