Job summary

Amplytico seeks a Senior Analytics Engineer / Senior Consultant to join our growing practice. You will design and build end-to-end data solutions spanning source systems (AWS, SAP) to Snowflake warehousing and Power Platform delivery layers that put insights directly in the hands of decision-makers.

You will work with clients and Amplytico delivery teams to solve data challenges—from architecture to polished Power BI dashboards and Power Apps in production use.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or BI development.
• Expert-level proficiency in Power BI including complex data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and gateway management
• Hands-on experience building Power Apps and Power Automate solutions in enterprise environments
• Deep experience with Snowflake including data modeling, performance tuning, Snowpipe, and cost management
• Strong SQL skills and comfort working with large, complex datasets
• Experience integrating data from AWS services (S3, Glue, Lambda, RDS) into downstream analytical systems
• Experience working with SAP data sources (BW extracts, HANA, OData) in an analytics context
• Ability to work independently and lead workstreams on client engagements

Responsibilities

• Data Architecture & Engineering: design end-to-end data architectures connecting source systems to Snowflake.
• Build ELT pipelines using dbt, Azure Data Factory, Fivetran, or equivalent tooling.
• Model data in Snowflake (raw, staging, marts) for performance and governance.
• Define data quality standards, schema conventions, and documentation.
• Evaluate integration patterns for multi-system environments.
• Power Platform Development: design and build Power BI reports/dashboards with advanced DAX and data models.
• Develop Power Apps (canvas/model-driven) that embed analytics into workflows.
• Implement Power Automate flows for data refresh, approvals, and triggers.
• Leverage Dataverse as needed for Power Apps.
• Enforce governance: row-level security, workspace strategy, deployment pipelines.
• Client Delivery & Consulting: lead workshops to define data requirements and KPIs.
• Translate designs for technical and executive audiences.
• Manage delivery across scoping to hypercare.
• Produce design docs and architecture diagrams.
• Act as trusted technical advisor to identify expansion opportunities.

We are looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer / Senior Consultant to join our growing practice. This is a client-facing, high-impact role at the intersection of cloud data engineering and business intelligence. You will design and build end-to-end data solutions that span source system integration (AWS, SAP, and others), Snowflake-based data warehousing, and Power Platform delivery layers that put insights directly in the hands of decision-makers.

You will work alongside clients and Amplytico delivery teams to solve complex data challenges - from architecting scalable pipelines to building polished, production-grade Power BI dashboards and Power Apps that business users actually adopt.

Work Location

This position requires onsite presence at client locations and/or our San Francisco office up to 2 days per week. Candidates must reside within a commutable distance of the San Francisco Bay Area. This position is hybrid (partial remote/partial onsite) and is not eligible for full remote work.

Compensation

As required by California law, the yearly salary range for this position is $125,000 to $160,000. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed between the entry point and the middle of the range, the decision will be made on a case‑by‑case basis related to these factors.

• Design and implement end‑to‑end data architectures connecting source systems (AWS, SAP, operational databases, APIs) to Snowflake
• Build robust, scalable ELT pipelines using dbt, Azure Data Factory, Fivetran, or equivalent tooling
• Model data in Snowflake using best‑practice layering (raw, staging, marts) for performance, maintainability, and governance
• Define and enforce data quality standards, schema conventions, and documentation practices
• Evaluate and recommend integration patterns for complex multi‑system environments common in utility operations

Power Platform Development

• Design and build Power BI reports and dashboards with advanced DAX, complex data models, and polished executive‑ready visualizations
• Develop Power Apps (canvas and model‑driven) that embed analytics into operational workflows and field processes
• Implement Power Automate flows to automate data refresh, alerting, approvals, and business process triggers
• Leverage Dataverse as a structured data layer for Power Apps solutions where appropriate
• Enforce Power Platform governance standards including row‑level security, workspace strategy, and deployment pipelines

Client Delivery & Consulting

• Lead client workshops and discovery sessions to define data requirements, KPIs, and solution architecture
• Translate complex technical designs into clear, compelling narratives for both technical and executive audiences
• Manage solution delivery across the full lifecycle — from scoping and design through build, testing, and hypercare
• Produce high‑quality deliverables including solution design documents, architecture diagrams, and user documentation
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor on client engagements, identifying opportunities to expand scope and add value

Qualifications:

Preferred:

• Experience with Palantir Foundry or comparable enterprise data platforms
• Familiarity with dbt and modern data stack patterns
• Microsoft certifications: PL-300, PL-100, DP-203, or equivalent
• Snowflake SnowPro Core or Advanced certification
• AWS certifications: Solutions Architect or Data Analytics Specialty
• Experience with Python for data transformation or automation tasks
