Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required, with a preference in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related.
• Four (4) years of experience required.
• Bachelor’s Degree required, with a preference in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related.
• Six (6) years of experience required.
• Expert-level skills in building complex, maintainable, automated tools for production business processes, demonstrated through Microsoft Excel and VBA or equivalent technologies.

Responsibilities

• Designs, builds, and maintains Excel/VBA-based case input tools that assemble and format the data required for routine Aspen PIMS and Aspen Petroleum Supply Chain Planner (PSCP) optimization model runs.
• Supports the full range of planning horizons and functions – near-term (0–30 days), short-term (30–120 days), and mid-term (120 days–5 years) planning, along with back casting (post audits) and cross-regional portfolio optimization.
• Extends and standardizes the established Aspen PIMS case input tool suite across all 13 refineries and four regions, closing gaps where current case-build functionality is inconsistent, manual, or not yet developed.
• Develops new case input tooling for mid-term planning, back casting, and cross-regional optimization—functions that are new or newly centralized within the Value Chain Optimization organization.
• Develops and maintains SQL queries and data pipelines that source, transform, and load data from enterprise systems into case input tools in the correct format.
• Engineers robust, low-maintenance, well-documented solutions, applying version control, error handling, and input validation to ensure the accuracy and repeatability of model inputs.
• Partners with the Near Term, Short Term, Mid Term, Continuous Improvement, and Cross Regional planning teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable, maintainable tool designs.
• Provides day-to-day support, troubleshooting, and enhancements for case input tools used by planners across all regions.
