Job summary

Premise Health, based in Brentwood, TN, is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineering Analyst to transform raw data into analytics-ready datasets within the silver layer of our medallion architecture. You will design scalable data models, implement dbt transformations, and ensure data quality and documentation across analytics assets.

The role requires 5+ years in analytics or data modeling, strong SQL/dbt skills, and experience with Databricks/Snowflake.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in CS/Analytics or related field.
• 5+ years of analytics, BI, or data modeling experience.
• Proficient in SQL and dbt modeling.
• Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Strong BI modeling and semantic layer understanding.
• Experience with cloud data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake).
• Knowledge of data quality and governance concepts.

Responsibilities

• Owns and leads data modeling efforts, designing scalable models following team standards.
• Writes advanced SQL and develops dbt models, tests, and transformations.
• Contributes to BI modeling and semantic layer development.
• Maintains clean, well-documented code and promotes best practices.
• Develops model documentation and READMEs with clear assumptions and logic.
• Leads data quality checks and validation processes.
• Maintains data lineage, cataloging, and metadata standards.
• Partners with stakeholders to map metrics to business questions.
• Works independently and mentors junior team members.
• Reviews work to ensure adherence to standards and best practices.
• Uses Git to manage code and support collaborative development.
