Job summary

Vasion, Inc. in Utah is seeking a Lead Analytics Engineer to architect and govern the data platform, from ingestion to semantic layer. This hands-on role includes leading Analytics Engineering projects, prioritizing work, and mentoring 1–2 engineers to elevate practice.

You will drive AI-powered analytics initiatives and establish standards across data modeling, testing, and documentation. As the primary technical architect, you will own dbt models, Snowflake configurations, and ELT pipelines

Qualifications

• 5+ years of analytics engineering or data engineering experience.
• Expert-level SQL and data modeling skills (Kimball, OBT, or similar).
• Deep hands-on experience with dbt Core or dbt Cloud in production.
• Strong Snowflake expertise including RBAC and cost controls.
• Experience managing ELT pipelines with Airbyte or Fivetran.
• Ability to manage and prioritize a project backlog.
• Strong communication to align stakeholders.
• Experience deploying AI tools and building metrics pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Architect and govern the data platform from ingestion to semantic layer.
• Own and optimize Snowflake DW, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data models.
• Lead analytics projects, mentor engineers, and drive AI initiatives.
• Define standards for data modeling, testing, and documentation.
