Job summary

Parker LORD, a Parker Hannifin lab, seeks a Sr. Scientist to lead analytical projects in Erie, PA. You will drive data-driven insights, prepare reports, and present results to customers and internal teams. You’ll apply chromatography, SEM, NMR, FTIR, and rheology while collaborating across global groups to support polymer products and technologies.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and timely deliverables, with occasional travel within the US and possible international assignments.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in a related discipline with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Extensive technical expertise across polymers, chemistry and materials.
• Proven ability to lead medium-complexity projects and teamwork.
• Strong data analysis, experimental design, and report writing skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and SAP; familiar with safety and ISO 9001.
• Willingness to travel within the US (and some international travel).
• Preferred: Advanced degree.

Responsibilities

• Lead short-to-medium term analytical projects and deliver data-driven insights.
• Prepare reports and present results to customers and internal teams.
• Coordinate with global technology groups and external partners.
• Ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely results for projects.
• Develop, improve, and disseminate new analytical technologies.
• Provide general departmental support and training as needed.
• Promote lab safety and contribute to new safety procedures.
• Travel within the US, with possible international travel (<10%).
