Job summary

Umicore in Tulsa, OK seeks an Analytical Laboratory Sr. Technician / Sr. Supervisor to lead analytical methods development and ensure reliable lab operations within Precious Metals Chemistry.

You will support ICP and wet chemistry analyses, maintain data integrity, and drive continuous improvement across testing procedures. Key responsibilities include coordinating ICP analyses, instrument calibration, LIMS data handling, and collaboration with PMC production and development teams to deliver

Qualifications

• One year laboratory bench work experience.
• Proven expertise in Spectroscopy and applications software.
• Thorough knowledge of the equipment and chemicals used.
• Training and experience in operation, calibration and method development for specialized equipment such as ICP and wet chemistry.

Responsibilities

• Perform ICP, gravimetric, wet chemistry, ion chromatography, titration, and other analyses; generate Certificates of Analysis for PMC products.
• Coordinate and ensure timely and accurate ICP Analysis and Wet Chemistry processes to support PMC production and development.
• Work with LIMS to receive and report data; provide analytical resolution when issues arise.
• Implement new tests and techniques for emerging requirements or product technology; coordinate tests with outside labs or other Umicore sites.
• Maintain systems to monitor performance of laboratory equipment, including MSAs or capability studies.
