Cogent Infotech is seeking a Chemist with 5+ years of analytical chemistry experience to design, validate, and optimize chromatographic methods in accordance with ICH, USP, FDA, and other regulatory guidelines. You will develop validation protocols, method transfers, and technical reports while performing quantitative and qualitative analyses using HPLC and GC.

Responsibilities include data interpretation and reporting, maintaining LC/GC instrumentation, and ensuring compliance with procedures.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, optimize, and verify analytical chromatographic methods in accordance with ICH, USP, FDA, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
• Create and execute validation protocols, method transfer protocols, technical reports, and supporting documentation.
• Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of samples ranging from raw materials to finished products using chromatographic methods, including HPLC (required) and GC ().
• Perform general troubleshooting and maintenance of LC- and GC-based instrumentation.
• Adhere to written procedures and established practices to ensure quality, compliance, and safety.
• Stay current with ICH, USP, FDA, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
• Collect, process, and interpret data accurately; draw scientifically sound conclusions; and prepare technical reports to communicate results and findings effectively to key stakeholders.
• Adapt quickly to changes, delays, and unexpected events while prioritizing work to ensure timely delivery of results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, preferably with a focus on Analytical Chemistry, or a related field, with 5+ years of professional experience.
• Strong working knowledge of developing, validating, optimizing, and verifying analytical chromatographic methods.
• Hands-on experience with HPLC (required) and GC ().
• Experience with Empower (required); familiarity with MassHunter and ChemStation is .
• Working knowledge of ICH, USP, FDA, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse environment, manage multiple requests, and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail, high motivation, initiative, and a sense of urgency.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
