Job summary

Builders FirstSource is seeking a Senior SAP Financials Analyst specializing in Record to Report with a focus on Accounts Receivable and Serrala Cash Application. You will configure, test, and support financial modules within SAP S/4HANA, align AR processes with business requirements, and drive automation with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include documenting requirements, performing integrations, and delivering robust SAP solutions across AR, AP, GL, and FP&A areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting or related field.
• 7–9 years of experience overseeing configuration of SAP Financials.
• Multiple full-life cycle SAP implementations (ECC 6.0 or S/4HANA).
• Proficiency in SAP RTR areas with emphasis on Accounts Receivable and Serrala (Cash Application).
• Knowledge of integration with SAP Sales and Distribution (Billing and Revenue recognition).
• Experience with IDoc processing, BAPI’s and BADI’s.
• Project Systems configuration a plus.

The Senior Business Analyst of SAP Financials should be a subject matter expert for Record to Report (RTR) with a concentration on the Accounts Receivables (AR) and Serrala (Cash Application) sub workstream. In this role, you will work with cross-functional teams to address and ensure quality solutions ultimately influencing individuals within and outside the IT department and making a significant impact on our business.

The candidate will be responsible for the design, configuration, implementation, testing and control of the financial systems and applications. While the focus is on AR and Serrala, responsibilities could involve other areas of RTR including the following: Accounts Payable, Treasury, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Tax (Vertex), Portfolio & Project Management (PPM), and Project Systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analysis of SAP Financial processes, including configuration, integration, customization, master data, and reporting with an emphasis on SAP S/4HANA Accounts Receivable and Serrala (Cash Application).
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and document business requirements related to the SAP Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.
• Configure and support the SAP AR module, including setting up customer master data, invoicing, payment processing, dunning, credit management, and reporting.
• Identify opportunities to streamline AR processes within SAP to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Work on SAP AR system enhancements and automation, including the integration of third-party tools or external systems for better payment processing.
• Liaise with external vendors, when necessary, to ensure the smooth flow of AR data and payment processing.
• Perform business process analysis and translate business requirements into workable SAP solutions and/or functional designs for specific projects and changes, including development.
• Write functional analyses for SAP financial programs. Develop and execute functional (integration) test scripts.
• Work closely with process teams to facilitate project progress and ensure integrated system solutions.
• Collaborate with other cross functional leaders on business-driven IT initiatives, including enhancements and technical upgrades.
• Provide implementation support, preparing the business for system solutions.
• Demonstrate the ability to solve problems that allow for effective and timely resolution of system issues including but not limited to production outages.
• Apply design thinking and/or process redesign principles to develop innovative solutions that enhance the end-user experience across financial solutions, incorporating user feedback and insights to ensure a user-centered approach.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting related field.
• 7-9 years of experience of overseeing configuration of SAP Financials
• Multiple full-life cycle SAP implementations (ECC 6.0 or S/4HANA)
• Strong experience with designing, configuring and supporting the following RTR areas within SAP is a must
  • Accounts Receivable (In-depth knowledge of the SAP S/4HANA Accounts Receivable module, including invoicing, credit management, payment processing, collections and integration with other financial modules.
  • Serrala - Cash Application (configuring, maintaining, and enhancing the system, ensuring smooth document management workflows, and delivering best practices for Serrala cash application implementations.)
• Knowledge of integration with SAP Sales and Distribution module (for Billing and Revenue recognition) is a must
• Proficiency in creating queries or reports for AR related reporting
• Strong experience with IDoc processing and working knowledge of BAPI's & BADI's
• Experience with Project Systems configuration will be a plus
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

In addition to the base wage listed, this position is also eligible to earn an annual bonus subject to changes in plan design and documents and in accordance with applicable law.
