Job summary

SitusAMC is seeking a Valuation Analyst to contribute to valuation analyses of diverse asset classes. You will assist in maintaining valuation models and data sets, while supporting project efforts and client communication.

The role offers in-office presence two days per week in Denver, with hybrid work expectations. Ideal candidates have a CFA trajectory, 2–4 years of industry experience, and strong Excel/SQL/Python skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field required.
• CFA or demonstrated progress towards CFA designation preferred.
• 2-4 years of industry and/or relevant experience, typically at an Analyst level or external equivalent.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office including strong Excel skills.
• Familiarity with Intex, ADCo, SQL, and Python preferred.
• Strong data management skills with high attention to detail.
• Strong understanding of mortgage-related financial and fixed-income topics.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills including ability to summarize complex topics for clients.
• Team player with ability to multi-task and cross-train as needed.
• Excellent time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Produces valuation analyses of non-agency mortgage whole loans (non-QM, RTL, HELOC, 2nds, and jumbo), RMBS, ABS, and unsecured consumer loans for clients as needed with a high degree of competency, integrity, and customer service
• Assist in the maintenance of valuation models and data sets as needed.
• Manages and executes certain projects independently
• Such other activities as may be assigned by your manager

This position in the Valuation Advisory & Risk Solutions (VARS) department is an integral member of a team that provides valuations as a service to a client base the includes investment managers, depository institutions, and lenders. Asset classes covered include residential whole loans, consumer whole loans, structured finance securities, and other related fixed income assets. The successful applicant to this role will assist colleagues in performing valuations, maintaining valuation models, and other operational tasks as needed, while expanding their knowledge of the fundamentals of valuation and developing competencies in diverse asset classes.

This role requires in office two days per week.

Essential Job Functions:

Qualifications/ Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field required
• CFA or demonstrated progress towards CFA designation preferred
• Mid-level professional with 2-4 years of industry and/or relevant experience, typically at an Analyst level role or external equivalent.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office including strong skills in Excel
• Familiarity with Intex, Andrew Davidson & Co. (ADCo), SQL, and Python preferred
• Strong data management skills with high attention to detail
• Strong understanding of relevant mortgage related financial and fixed-income topics
• Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to summarize complex topics for presentation to clients
• Team player & ability to multi-task and cross-train as needed based on business demands and performance
• Excellent time management skills

The annual full time base salary range for this role is

$65,000.00 - $85,000.00

Specific compensation is determined through interviews and a review of relevant education, experience, training, skills, geographic location and alignment with market data. Additionally, certain positions may be eligible to receive a discretionary bonus as determined by bonus program guidelines, position eligibility and SitusAMC Senior Management approval. SitusAMC offers PTO and paid holidays, the terms of which are set forth in the program policies. All full time employees also are eligible to participate in various benefit plans, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability insurance and 401K; in each case in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
