A government service contractor is seeking a Strategic Analyst to support Nuclear Emergency Planning efforts for Pacific Fleet organizations. This role requires expertise in emergency planning and experience with the AUKUS Program. Strategic Analyst – Nuclear Emergency Planning

Location: Pearl Harbor, HI (Remote work considered for exceptionally qualified candidates)

Salary Range: $110,000 – $130,000 per year

Employment Type: Full-time

Zimmerman Associates, Inc. (ZAI) is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Strategic Analyst to support Nuclear Emergency Planning (EP) efforts for Pacific Fleet (PACFLT) organizations. This position plays a critical role in advancing Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program (NNPP) readiness and preparedness, with a particular focus on support for AUKUS-related planning, policies, and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and support NNPP Emergency Planning project initiatives within PACFLT EP organizations.
  • Support the development and integration of AUKUS program-related policies, processes, and organizational strategies.
  • Conduct in-depth research on U.S. emergency preparedness programs to inform PACFLT EP planning and execution.
  • Assist the PACFLT EP Director in creating, implementing, and monitoring organizational improvement plans.
  • Provide development and advisory support on corporate NNPP initiatives.
  • Participate in occasional domestic and international travel in support of PACFLT EP duties.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Demonstrated expertise in NNPP emergency planning at Naval Shipyards and/or Fleet sites.
  • Hands-on experience supporting the AUKUS Program.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET Security Clearance and access to Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information (NNPI).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to build and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Capable of exercising sound judgment and maintaining professional discretion in sensitive situations.
