Job summary

Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Senior Contracts Analyst or Contracts Manager for a full-time on-site role in San Diego, CA. The incumbent will evaluate, draft, and negotiate company contracts under the Assistant General Counsel.

The position requires 3+ years (Senior Analyst) or 5+ years (Contracts Manager) of contract negotiation experience, superior negotiation skills, and excellent communication. Preference for pharma/biotech exposure and Agiloft systems familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business/biotech or equivalent.
• 3+ years negotiating contracts for Senior Analyst; 5+ years for Contracts Manager.
• Superior negotiation skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication; strong attention to detail.
• Experience coordinating with internal clients.
• Pharma/biotech experience preferred.

• Draft, negotiate, and review contract documents to ensure reasonableness and accuracy; ensure sufficient timeframes and deliverables; identify and resolve clauses adverse to Arrowhead’s interests.
• Assist in managing the contracting system (enter and track contract requests and assignments).
• Negotiate contract terms within established corporate parameters.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders regarding contracts.
• Write and/or edit contract communications and notices.
• Assist with other general legal matters as appropriate.
• Balance big-picture concerns with day-to-day execution; involve the right people at the right time to address business partner needs and develop creative solutions.

Pay Range:

• Senior Analyst: $110,000–$125,000
• Manager: $125,000–$145,000
• California pay range: $110,000–$145,000.
