Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 1+ year in supply chain; or 4+ years with HS Diploma.
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Executes advanced data analysis to develop and implement optimized allocation strategies for non-replenished inventory.
• Analyzes sales trends, demand signals, and inventory positions to refine allocation strategies and support financial metrics.
• Makes independent allocation decisions and executes stock transfers and purchase orders within guardrails.
• Uses SAP, Blue Yonder, AS/400, DAA and analytics tools (Databricks, Python, R, SQL, Excel) for accurate allocations.
• Maintains documentation of allocation methods and updates for day-to-day continuity across categories.
• Monitors inventory flow to identify risks related to sell-through, overstocks, and supply constraints.
• Resolves allocation exceptions, system issues, and communicates impacts to stakeholders.
• Provides recurring performance reporting and insights to cross-functional partners.
• Recommends process improvements and enhancements in allocation workflows.

Job Summary

As a Senior Analyst, Inventory Allocation, you will be develop and execute inventory strategies that align inventory placement with business needs and customer demand. This role analyzes sales, demand, inventory, and supply chain data to support inventory execution, identify risks and opportunities, and improve customer availability and inventory productivity. You will work across both hands-on inventory execution and complex analytical initiatives, translating data into actional business recommendations and partnering cross-functionally to drive results. This role will also help simplify, standardize, and improve how inventory decisions are made and executed across the organization.

Job Responsibility

• Executes advanced data analysis to develop and implement optimized allocation strategies for non replenished inventory, including seasonal, promotional, off shelf, one time buys, and local assortments.
• Analyzes sales trends, demand signals, and inventory positions to generate insights that refine allocation strategies and support sales, margin, EBITDA, and minimized residual exposure.
• Makes independent allocation decisions and executes inventory allocations, such as stock transfer orders and purchase orders, within established parameters and guardrails.
• Uses enterprise planning and execution systems (SAP, BlueYonder, AS/400, DAA) and advanced analytics tools (Databricks, Python, R, SQL, Excel) to perform accurate, timely allocations and identify improvement opportunities.
• Keeps documentation of allocation methods and updates to support day to day continuity across rotating categories.
• Monitors inventory flow to identify risks related to sell through, overstocks, residual inventory, and supply or system constraints.
• Resolves allocation exceptions, system issues, and supply disruptions, proactively communicating impacts and solutions to stakeholders.
• Provides recurring performance reporting and insights to cross functional partners including Inventory Management, Merchandising, Suppliers, and Leadership.
• Recommends process improvements and contributes to enhancements in allocation workflows.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and at least 1 year of experience in a supply chain or business role OR a High School Diploma/GED and at least 4 years of experience in a supply chain or business role.
• Advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using AVERAGE function, merging and centering cells, printing centered page and/or creating a pivot table).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in retail, inventory management, demand planning, supply planning, supply chain, merchandising, or business analytics
• Understanding of core supply chain and inventory management concepts and processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience analyzing large or complex data sets and translating findings into business insights and recommended actions
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large data sets
• Demonstrated curiosity, learning agility, ownership, and the ability to work through problems where the process or solution may not be clearly defined
• Ability to balance analytical work with hands-on execution and adapt as business priorities change
• Strong cross-functional communication, collaboration, and follow-through
• Experience with SAP, Blue Yonder/JDA, Power BI, Databricks, SQL, Python, R, or Similar analytics tools
