Job summary

KKR is seeking a Senior Analyst for the Insurance Segment Accounting Operations in Des Moines to support expense accounting across the segment. The role involves hands-on accounting for close, reporting and analysis in a multi-entity environment, with collaboration across Finance and Operations.

The ideal candidate has a strong accounting foundation, problem-solving skills, and a continuous improvement mindset, with knowledge of US GAAP and exposure to insurance statutory accounting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (or related field) is required.
• 3+ years of accounting experience within insurance or public accounting; Big 4 experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP; exposure to insurance statutory accounting preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with Oracle, SAP or similar ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Execute key expense accounting processes including accruals, prepaid expenses and lease accounting.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations and management reporting.
• Support quarterly and annual financial reporting and disclosures under US GAAP and statutory bases.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting and analysis of financial results and drivers.
• Maintain SOX controls and assist internal/external audits.
• Collaborate with Finance and other functions to resolve issues and improve processes.
