Today, we help clients with total transformation‑inspiring complex change, enabling organizations to grow, building competitive advantage, and driving bottom‑line impact.

To succeed, organizations must blend digital and human capabilities. Our diverse, global teams bring deep industry and functional expertise and a range of perspectives to spark change. BCG delivers solutions through leading‑edge management consulting along with technology and design, corporate and digital ventures—and business purpose. We work in a uniquely collaborative model across the firm and throughout all levels of the client organization, generating results that allow our clients to thrive.

What You'll Do

As a Senior Analyst – BCG Vantage on our Client Focus path within BCG's Consumer Practice Area, you will work in a growing global team, delivering value to clients via individual expertise and/or institutionalized BCG Vantage assets (products, tools, data, workshops, frameworks, surveys, domain‑specific data and related expertise, etc.). You will contribute on cases and proposals by contributing relevant analysis and insights and help case teams create strong impact for the client. While contributing to client cases, workshops and proposals, occasional travel to serve clients onsite during staffing assignments is expected to understand client requirements, and design / develop solutions.

You will support commercialization efforts for the topic/sector working, in conjunction with business leaders, through contributing analysis and insights to proposals, client workshops and marketing materials. Additionally, as a Senior Analyst – BCG Vantage, you will contribute to developing intellectual property & assets for the business and assist in onboarding and training junior colleagues based on your topic/sector expertise.

The candidate is expected to have deep understanding of the Indirect/GNFR procurement process. Experience should Include: deep knowledge of strategic sourcing, category management, contract negotiations and commercial structuring (RFP design and execution), cost modeling & TCO analysis, supplier performance and risk management, and Indirect Procurement System understanding (Jaggaer and Coupa), and bid analysis.

BCG's Consumer Practice is one of the firm’s largest industry practice areas and keeps growing continuously across all regions. BCG's Consumer practice creates breakthrough innovations for clients in the three sectors: consumer goods, retail, and fashion & luxury.

YOU'RE GOOD AT

The candidate will need to develop a strong business‑building focus in order to effectively operate/influence stakeholders in an international matrix organization and identify where the Vantage Team can be involved to better support case teams.
  • Consulting skills and approach will be key to succeed in the role when supporting case teams; deep knowledge of Excel modeling and PowerPoint required.
  • Solving client problems through formulating relevant research and/or analytical approaches in retail indirect procurement.
  • Communicating with case teams and clients team members, in a credible and confident way.
  • Working collaboratively and effectively in a group dynamic often virtual, proficient in agile ways of working.
  • Being flexible and bringing a curious and creative mindset, open to new things and able to propose innovative ideas.
  • Navigating complexity and ambiguity.
What You'll Bring
  • Strong end‑to‑end understanding of the indirect/GNFR procurement process, including strategic sourcing, RFP design and execution, contract negotiations and commercial structuring, cost modeling and total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis, supplier performance management, and bid evaluation.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of retail economics and cost structures, with the ability to translate procurement initiatives into tangible P&L impact, including margin expansion, working capital improvement, and recurring cost savings.
  • Experience building and analyzing spend cubes, conducting detailed spend diagnostics, and applying benchmarking and advanced analytics to identify cost, demand, and process optimization opportunities.
  • Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint and have experience using business intelligence and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Alteryx, or similar) to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
  • Familiar with procurement management systems such as Jaggaer, Coupa, or similar platforms, and understand how digital tools and AI‑enabled solutions can enhance sourcing effectiveness, negotiation outcomes, and spend transparency.
  • 2+ years of consulting experience in relevant Indirect procurement required; candidates with consulting experience strongly preferred.
  • In lieu of consulting experience, 3+ years minimum industry experience in Indirect procurement required; 4-6+ years of industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree required (advanced degree preferred).
  • Fluency in English.
  • Strong business acumen and problem‑solving capabilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
