Responsibilities

• Partner with assurance professionals and IT teams to identify and implement opportunities to streamline and standardize assurance processes leveraging automation and workflow technologies.
• Gather, document, and translate business needs into detailed functional and technical requirements.
• Develop comprehensive process maps, workflow diagrams, and BRDs outlining current and future state processes.
• Facilitate design workshops and stakeholder interviews to capture current and future workflows and document recommendations.
• Collaborate with BI & AI teams to implement analytics, automation, and AI-driven solutions to empower assurance teams with insights.
• Support project management activities including timelines, resource planning, and risk identification.
• Assist with change management efforts including user training and communication strategies.
• Monitor KPIs and adoption metrics to measure success and drive continuous improvement.
• Evaluate new technologies, vendors and products and stay updated with industry trends.

CBIZ is seeking a skilled Sr. Analyst to join our internal facing Assurance Transformation team. The ideal candidate will leverage deep analytical expertise and professional services knowledge to drive process improvements, implement digital solutions, and support strategic change initiatives within our assurance practice. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to analyze business requirements, design effective solutions, and facilitate the successful adoption of assurance technologies across the firm. Essential Functions And Primary Duties

• Partner with assurance professionals and IT teams to identify and implement opportunities to streamline and standardize assurance processes leveraging offshore resources, automation, process reengineering and advanced workflow technologies to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.


• Gather, document, and translate business needs into detailed functional and technical requirements that align with project objectives and enable scalable assurance transformation solutions.


• Develop comprehensive process maps, workflow diagrams, and business requirements documents that clearly outline current and future state processes.


• Facilitate design workshops, stakeholder interviews, and process walkthroughs to capture current‑state and future‑state workflows, gather feedback, and document recommendations for improvement.


• Collaborate with our Business Intelligence & AI teams to implement advanced analytics, automation, and AI‑driven solutions to empower assurance teams with actionable insights that enhance strategic decision making.


• Support project management activities, including timelines, resource planning, risk identification, and status reporting.


• Assist with change management efforts, including user training, documentation, and communication strategies.


• Monitor key performance indicators and adoption metrics to measure success and identify areas for continuous improvement.


• Evaluate and advise on new technologies, vendors and products and stay updated with industry trends.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Information Systems, or related field.


• 3+ years’ experience in professional services and/or professional services technology transformation (public accounting firm experience strongly preferred).


• Strong understanding of audit principles and regulations, and how technology can enhance the audit process.


• Deep understanding of the AI landscape and hands‑on experience implementing AI tools, managing change, and delivering measurable value.


• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and documentation skills.


• Strong communication skills; ability to interact effectively with cross‑functional stakeholders and senior leadership.


• Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple competing priorities.


• CPA certification

Travel Requirements

• Less than 10% travel

Minimum Qualifications

• College Degree or equivalent


• 3 years related experience


• Ability to lead and coordinate the team activities of others


• Proficient use of applicable technology


• Ability to execute and draft technical instructions and guidelines
