Description
Overview

WTW's Insurance Consulting and Technology (ICT) business is accelerating—and we're seeking ambitious, high-energy actuarial consultants ready to help shape the future of insurance. As part of our market-leading client teams, you'll contribute to a broad portfolio of high-impact engagements spanning reserving, pricing, capital modeling, data analytics, AI and advanced technology. You'll begin by building deep technical expertise as an individual contributor, while a career in consulting will continuously expand your commercial and leadership capabilities—from financial and project management to budgeting, business development, client and colleague engagement, and the innovation and launch of next-generation solutions.

About ICT and Our Actuarial Consulting Business

ICT brings together forward-looking advisory expertise, industry-leading technology and software, and powerful analytics to help insurers turn complexity into opportunity. As a globally recognized leader in Property & Casualty insurance and reinsurance reserving and financial reporting, we partner with clients across the industry to deliver innovative, practical solutions that strengthen performance and accelerate transformation.

Our ambition is to redefine reserving, pricing and capital modeling as strategic engines of client value—combining market intelligence, advanced analytics, AI-enabled technology, process excellence and compelling communication. At the center of this vision is the WTW Reserving, Capital Modeling, Data Automation and AI Technology Suite, enabling smarter decisions, greater agility and lasting business impact.

The Role

As a Property & Casualty Senior Actuarial Analyst, you'll join collaborative project teams delivering reserve studies, capital management initiatives and pricing analyses for our insurance company and self-insured clients. Working across engagements in Bermuda, Canada and United States, Senior Actuarial Analysts:

  • Develop proficiency in financial assessment of insurance-linked securities using ILSE, our market-leading enterprise technology.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on pricing engagements designed to drive client growth and profitability. Apply traditional actuarial methods and advanced predictive modeling techniques to evaluate rate adequacy and design best-in-class rating structures using generalized linear models (GLMs), gradient boosting machines (GBMs) and market data; support rate filings; and expand your technology capabilities through our Radar solutions.
  • Contribute to reserving engagements focused on financial strength and reserve adequacy. Estimate future claim payments for past policies using loss development and claims data; apply machine-led reserving approaches and AI-enhanced actuarial methodologies; support financial and regulatory reporting; and build advanced capabilities in ResQ AI.
  • Help deliver IFRS 17 engagements focused on financial reporting transformation. Develop insurance contract liabilities automated reporting solutions using analytics and AI-enabled technologies, support financial statement preparation, and help insurers modernize their actuarial reporting processes.
