Costello Medical is seeking a Senior Analyst to lead projects in the Value & Access and Rare Diseases teams. You will manage client relationships, oversee junior staff, and contribute to business development while collaborating with experienced colleagues across North America.
The role offers hybrid working options and a pathway to develop into a Consultant, with start dates available imminently and offices in Boston and New York.
Costello Medical is growing quickly through demand from both new and existing clients and we are therefore looking for candidates with prior experience in healthcare consulting who enjoy content delivery, as well as project and client management, to join us as Senior Analysts in our Value & Access and Rare Diseases teams.
Value & Access: The Value & Access team is further divided into our Market Access and Health Economics teams. It plays a crucial role in ensuring new pharmaceuticals and medical devices are reimbursed and accessible to patients by creating evidence-based materials such as dossiers and slide decks, as well as health economic models, that highlight their clinical and economic value
Rare Diseases: The Rare Diseases team plays a pivotal role in overcoming the challenges of limited treatments and evidence for the >10,000 rare diseases that have been identified. By delivering projects from across the service areas on offer at Costello Medical, they emphasize the clinical and economic value of novel therapies within the rare diseases space. Their mission is to generate fresh ideas that enable the rare diseases community to gain rapid access to groundbreaking, often life-extending treatments
Senior Analysts take a leading role across projects and work alongside Team Leads, Consultants, Analysts and Project Coordinators to ensure that they are delivered to an exceptionally high standard in line with agreed timelines. This involves regular interaction with clients over email and in meetings, including providing strategic advice, as well as internally, training and supervising the Costello Medical project team. Senior Analysts are central to the quality of project deliverables and so their role involves the review of work from more junior colleagues, and the provision of constructive feedback.
You will also play a key role in contributing to business development by identifying new clients, writing proposals for projects with new and existing clients, building and maintaining excellent client relationships, and identifying opportunities to provide additional services within existing projects.
You’ll collaborate closely with our experienced Boston-based Team Leads—each with 7–10+ years in the industry—and senior colleagues across North America and globally. This is more than just a role; it’s a launchpad. You’ll be empowered to take ownership, drive meaningful change, and carve out a career path tailored to your strengths and ambitions.
We are deeply committed to nurturing talent and supporting professional growth. High-performing Senior Analysts are encouraged to progress to the Consultant role as they demonstrate readiness, with clear development pathways and ongoing support in place.
Hybrid Working Policy: We believe that having face-to-face time in the office holds many benefits and is central to ensuring that the community we have created, where people have a workplace they belong to and feel part of, is never lost. At the same time, we recognize that homeworking can improve work-life balance, reduce commuting times and costs, and provide the opportunity to juggle personal commitments. Therefore, we offer flexible working arrangements that allow our colleagues to work from home for up to half of the time, measured across a 2-week rolling period.
Costello Medical is a rapidly growing global healthcare agency specializing in medical communications, market access and health economic and outcomes research. We work with a wide range of clients, including the industry’s most successful pharmaceutical companies. We received B Corporation Accreditation in 2022.
Essential requirements for the role are:
While we are seeking applications from those who already have at least 2 years’ experience delivering relevant project types, we are also seeking those who are flexible and willing to learn and contribute to a wide variety of areas. You will be expected to work across different accounts spanning multiple disease areas and therefore should be able to familiarize yourself with new information quickly.
Alongside our award-winning company culture, where every team member is celebrated, respected, and has their voice heard, our comprehensive benefits package includes:
We welcome applications from international candidates, but we are unfortunately unable to provide visa sponsorship for working visas. Therefore, you must have the right to work in the US independently from the company. However, we are able to consider those on a temporary visa, such as an OPT visa.
