Job summary

Refrigeration Systems Construction and Service in El Paso seeks experienced ammonia refrigeration service technicians who know the trade, take pride in their work, and can perform in the field when customers rely on them.

This role requires hands-on ammonia refrigeration expertise; you will troubleshoot, diagnose, and fix systems in engine rooms, communicate clearly with customers, and help keep critical plants operating safely and reliably.

Qualifications

• Hands-on ammonia refrigeration experience is required.
• Strong troubleshooting skills are essential.
• Ability to work independently in the field while supporting a professional team.
• Experience with compressors, controls, valves, motors, electrical troubleshooting, and system startups is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel and be on-call as needed.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, service, repair, and maintain industrial ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Diagnose issues involving compressors, condensers, evaporators, pumps, valves, controls, VFDs, and related equipment.
• Perform emergency service, leak response, preventive maintenance, system evaluations, and startup support.
• Read and work from P&IDs, electrical schematics, and control drawings.
• Communicate findings, repair needs, and recommendations clearly to customers and internal teams.
• Complete accurate field documentation and follow strong safety practices on every job.
• Help customers reduce downtime, improve reliability, and keep refrigeration systems operating as they should.
