Job description

Senior Automated Litigation Support Lab Manager

Employment Type: Full-Time, Experienced

Department: Finance

As a CGS Senior ALS Lab Manager, you will leverage industry knowledge, market research, and have wide-ranging experiences across operating systems and coding languages. You will serve as the lead manager responsible for delivering lab data processing services, ensuring that incoming productions comply with ESI specifications, and providing detailed notices of deficiencies to case attorneys.

Skills and Attributes for Success
  • Lead manager responsible for lab data processing services
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks, analyze, develop, and implement processing approaches for electronic files per ESI specifications
  • Consult with attorneys and support staff on best practices, participate in teleconferences with co-counsel, client agencies, and opposing counsel as needed
  • Ensure incoming productions meet ESI specifications; notify attorneys of deficiencies
  • Keep clients informed on lab activities, deadlines, technical challenges, and resource availability
  • Support webhosting for unsupported cases managed by the lab
  • Manage a team of eDiscovery professionals, including scheduling, requirements assessment, work assignment, deadline management, progress reporting, and quality control
  • Advise attorneys, paralegals, and case managers on all phases of the EDRM, especially Data Collection, Processing, Hosting, Review, Analytics, and Production
Qualifications
  • Extensive Relativity experience required
  • Relativity certifications (RCA and/or Analytics Specialist) preferred
  • Minimum eight years of eDiscovery experience, including processing, conversion, culling, QA, database management, and review
  • At least five years of management or supervisory experience
  • Thorough knowledge of litigation discovery and EDRM workflow
  • Proficiency with document review software such as Relativity, iConect, Venio, or similar
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field; waiver possible with approval

Ideally, candidates will also have experience with litigation support tools like LAW, IPRO, Concordance, MS Office Suite, and LiveNote.
