Vistra Nuclear Operations Company is seeking a Senior ALARA Planner and Specialist to support the Steam Generator Replacement Project at Beaver Valley Nuclear. You will lead ALARA planning, dose estimates, and radiological risk mitigation while directing field teams and ensuring compliance with NRC requirements.

The role requires 5–10 years of nuclear Radiation Protection/ALARA experience, strong leadership, and excellent communication and project management skills, with responsibility for

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5–10 years commercial nuclear Radiation Protection/ALARA experience.
• Advanced knowledge of 10 CFR 20, NRC requirements, and RP practices.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex radiological work planning.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead development of ALARA plans, dose estimates, and radiological work evaluations.
• Direct review of work packages and establish radiological controls and dose reduction strategies.
• Lead ALARA reviews, pre-job briefs, field execution, and post-job critiques for complex work.
• Evaluate shielding, engineering controls, remote tooling, mockups, decontamination, and work sequencing.
• Monitor job performance against dose estimates and direct improvement actions.
• Provide technical leadership and field oversight during complex or elevated-risk radiological work.
• Coordinate with RP personnel and station work groups to integrate radiological risk into planning.
