Job summary

Responsibilities

• The Airway Transportation Systems Specialist (ATSS) at this level is recognized as the subject matter expert in their field.
• All duties of an ATSS are tied to maintaining safe and efficient operating capacity of NAS's electronic systems.
• Performs work of broad scope and complexity with a high degree of independence.
• Provides the highest organizational level of technical support for analyzing, designing, installing, repairing, fabricating, maintaining, modifying, or evaluating complex systems.
• Acts as SSC project manager on major projects, resolving unique technical problems with minimal managerial intervention.
• Evaluates diagnostic data from multiple systems to support NAS services and prioritizes SSC workload.
• Responsible for all aspects of SSC projects from planning to disposition of assets and coordinates with contractors.
