Job summary

The Transportation Security Administration in Olar, SC is seeking Supervisory Transportation Security Officers to oversee screening operations and lead teams at one or more checkpoint locations. You will supervise Officers and Lead Officers, coordinate staffing, and ensure security procedures are followed with sound judgment and clear communication.

Applicants should have at least one year of specialized security experience and be able to work varied shifts, including evenings and overtime.

Qualifications

At least one year of specialized security operations experience.
Experience as supervisor, work leader, or team leader preferred.

Responsibilities

Supervise Transportation Security Officers and Lead Transportation Security Officers.
Oversee passenger and baggage screening operations at assigned checkpoints.
Assign work, set priorities, and coordinate staff rotations.
Make security-based decisions following TSA procedures and information.
Provide coaching and feedback to staff and monitor performance.
Approve leave and address workplace concerns.
Respond to security incidents and operational disruptions.
Prepare briefings, logs, and management communications.
Coordinate with airport stakeholders and TSA leadership when needed.
Suggest improvements to screening procedures and staffing plans.
