Job summary

City of Atlanta, GA seeks an Airport Assistant General Manager II GE21 to lead the Airfield Maintenance group at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, overseeing facilities, grounds, fleet, custodial services, training and asset management.

This senior leadership role directs strategic and day-to-day operations, manages a large staff, allocates resources, and ensures compliance with enterprise maintenance management systems while maintaining safe, clean and compliant airport

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in a large, complex aviation or facilities operation.
• Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Reports to the Senior Airport Deputy General Manager and leads the airfield maintenance and fleet maintenance divisions.
• Responsible for strategic planning and day-to-day direction of assigned areas; leads a very large staff; allocates resources and establishes processes.
• Oversees aviation facilities tasks to provide safe, clean, well-maintained facilities that meet federal standards.
• Provides functional and operational leadership to staff implementing projects and renewal recommendations.
