Job summary

Oshkosh AeroTech in Phoenix seeks a Machine Repair Technician Level 2 to lead advanced troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs of baggage handling systems and related electrical/mechanical components. You will manage preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance and ensure safe, reliable airport operations.

You’ll work with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, read blueprints and schematics, and service Passenger Boarding Bridges and conveyors.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in maintenance operations.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to obtain necessary security clearance.
• Available to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift, including weekends/holidays.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Familiarity with Airport operations.
• Intermediate understanding of PLC control systems.
• Experience with 480V and 3-phase motors.
• Experience with passenger boarding bridges and conveyance systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain baggage conveyor systems and controls.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBBs).
• Perform scheduled and emergency maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems.
• Execute mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repairs as needed.
• Accurately document maintenance activities and input data into the CMMS.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to carry out maintenance tasks.
• Complete PM and CM maintenance logs and paperwork.
• Drive and operate equipment including golf carts, company vehicles, and forklifts.
• Support operations by quickly responding to and clearing baggage jams.
• Comply with company safety program and trainings.
