Job summary

PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking a Senior Aircraft Sheet Metal Mechanic to support helicopter structural assembly and installation in Columbus, MS. This hands-on role requires precision, quality, and teamwork.

The candidate should have 6+ years of aircraft sheet metal experience, with strong ability to read blueprints and technical drawings. Preference given to those with A&P licensing. This is a full-time on-site position.

Qualifications

Minimum 6+ years of aircraft sheet metal experience.
Ability to read and interpret prints and technical drawings.
Experience with drilling, fitting, and riveting of sheet metal components.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Willingness to work in Columbus, MS.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering diagrams.
Inspect and measure parts prior to installation for proper fit and defect-free condition.
Install sheet metal parts and assemblies without compromising structure.
Fit and assemble skins, frames, tail booms, stabilizers, and other components.
Perform drilling, fitting, and riveting of sub-assemblies.
Collaborate with Quality Inspectors to verify assembly and compliance.
Apply standard shop practices in fabrication, repair, and modification of aircraft structures.

PDS Defense, Inc. is hiring a Senior Aircraft Sheet Metal Mechanic to support helicopter structural assembly and installation programs in Columbus, MS. This is a hands‑on role for experienced aircraft sheet metal professionals who take pride in precision, quality, and teamwork.

? What You'll Do

Read and interpret detailed blueprints, sketches, and engineering diagrams
Inspect and measure parts prior to installation to ensure proper fit and defect-free condition
Install aircraft sheet metal parts and assemblies without compromising structure or system functionality
Fit and assemble skins, frames, tail booms, stabilizers, and other helicopter structural components
Perform drilling, fitting, and riveting of aircraft sub-assemblies
Partner with Quality Inspectors to test and verify proper assembly and compliance
Apply standard shop practices in the fabrication, repair, and modification of aircraft structures

What We're Looking For

6+ years of aircraft sheet metal experience
Relevant experience may substitute for formal education or A&P coursework
Strong ability to read and interpret prints and technical drawings
Solid understanding of standard aircraft fabrication and repair methods
Ability to read, write, and speak English
High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

Preferred (Not Required)

Current Airframe and/or Powerplant (A&P) license
