Responsibilities

• Manages maintenance, servicing, inspections and documentation for military aircraft.
• Works under time and mission constraints in all weather and night operations.
• Oversees lower graded mechanics and certifies the work of journeyman workers on the aircraft.
• Performs diagnostics and repairs on aircraft systems using TMDE and drawings.
• Certifies airworthiness and conducts readiness flights as needed.
• Coordinates with supervisors on maintenance priorities and parts availability.
• Performs preflight, thru flight and post-flight inspections.
• Oversees ground movement of aircraft and assists in training.
