Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace in Appleton, WI is seeking an experienced Interior Installation Technician IV for second shift weeknights. You will remove, install, and fabricate aircraft interiors, such as trim, panels, and cabinetry, following designs and quality standards.

You will mentor junior technicians, coordinate with supervision, and ensure compliance with FAA paperwork and repair station procedures while meeting customer expectations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 4 years of applicable installation, fabrication or related experience.
• Experience in aerospace industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform aircraft interior removal, installation, and/or fabrication of interiors (galleys, closets, lavatories, side ledges, bulkheads, doors and panels).
• Coordinate with supervision and Inspection to ensure compliance with Repair Station procedures, internal and FAA paperwork, sign-offs and quality specifications.
• Mentor and train other Interior Installation Technicians; review their work prior to sign-off for quality.
• Accept lead responsibilities as required; oversee projects or other technicians and procure required materials and documentation.
• Utilize the material tracking system to create parts demand, track squawks and sign-off work.
• Follow SOPs when using tools and equipment; care for and maintain shop equipment.
• Prepare and install aircraft interior items per procedures and quality standards.
• Remove and re-install nut plates, inserts and fasteners; apply proper hardware/fittings.
• Comply with safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies; address unsafe conditions.
• Assist technicians with maintenance requirements.
• Adapt to schedule changes and coordinate projects with other shops/departments.
