Job summary

Ramboll US Corporation in New York, NY seeks a Senior Lead Consultant in Air Quality to lead complex air compliance projects, develop client opportunities, and strengthen regulator relationships. The role requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s in environmental engineering with 3–5+ years of relevant experience, travel ~10%, and occasional in-office work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or Chemical Engineering with 5+ years of experience, or a Master’s in same with 3+ years.
• Experience with environmental consulting, air modeling (AERMOD, SCREEN3, AERSCREEN), permitting (PSD, NNSR, Title V), and compliance reporting (Title V/MACT, emissions inventories).
• Domestic travel ~10% and in-office 2 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute complex air compliance projects, develop new clients and air compliance opportunities, and enhance client relationships.
• Prepare air compliance project plans and develop proposals for environmental work; lead technical evaluations of AQ data and regulatory reviews.
• Train junior staff in air dispersion modeling, permitting, and compliance; lead modeling tasks for permitting and reporting; develop modeling documents.
• Generate AQ dispersion model input data, review outputs, and develop scripts to speed data generation while ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Engage with senior practitioners and clients to align needs with expertise and raise Ramboll's external standing.
• Attend technical societies and conferences per divisional goals.
