Job summary

Onterris is seeking a Senior Air Quality Engineer to focus on California air permitting and reporting. The role reports to the principal in charge of California permitting and compliance services and supports a team of ten professionals serving manufacturers, utilities, hospitals, universities and local governments.

The ideal candidate will lead air quality permitting projects, manage budgets and client relationships, and help shape compliance strategies while delivering high-quality technical

Qualifications

• BS in Science or Engineering or AS with 10/15 years of direct experience
• Direct experience including project, client, and program management and air quality permitting in California
• CPP certification is desirable but not required

Responsibilities

• Manage project budgets and hours, ensuring tasks are completed on time
• Act as a client manager to understand customer needs and allocate work
• Communicate with leadership when issues threaten schedule or budget
• Maintain confidentiality at all times
• Stay current on industry trends through training, publications and workshops
• Perform other duties as assigned
