EY seeks a senior, hands-on Distinguished Engineer to lead AI-native system delivery in regulated industries. You will bridge architecture, delivery, and governance, driving evidence-based, reusable patterns across client engagements.

The role emphasizes practical engineering leadership, cross-cell collaboration, and shaping scalable AI platforms with strong client presence and systems thinking.

Qualifications

• 10+ years delivering complex AI enterprise systems in regulated environments.
• Deep experience with distributed systems, cloud platforms, and integration-heavy architectures.
• Hands-on experience with modern AI-enabled application stacks (agentic systems, orchestration, LLM-backed services).
• Proven ability to operate in forward-deployed or client-facing engineering roles, owning outcomes.
• Track record of reusable technical patterns or platforms.
• Experience collaborating with architecture, product, and platform teams.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, quality gates, and production readiness.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a cross-engagement technical authority, ensuring delivery aligns with architecture, safety, and regulatory constraints.
• Synthesize learnings into durable reference integrations and reusable patterns.
• Work with AI agents to support regulated safe-to-ship decisions with evidence and validation inputs.
• Operate as a player-coach, guiding delivery teams toward repeatable approaches.
• Consolidate cross-cell signals into evidence-based recommendations for platform investment.
• Partner with Product Engineering and Product Architecture to package client patterns into technical business cases and backlog items.
• Participate in architecture reviews and prioritization discussions to improve portability and customer outcomes.
