Job summary

EY seeks a senior, hands-on Distinguished Engineer to lead the delivery of AI-native systems in highly regulated industries, ensuring production readiness with safety and audit-grade rigor. The role blends real-world delivery, architecture enforcement, and platform feedback across multiple delivery cells.

As a cross‑cell technical leader, you’ll partner with Product Engineering, Product Architecture, and governance authorities while translating field observations into durable enterprise patterns

Qualifications

• 10+ years delivering complex AI enterprise systems
• Deep experience with distributed systems and cloud platforms
• Hands-on experience with modern AI-enabled stacks (agentic systems, orchestration, LLM-backed services)
• Proven ability in forward-deployed or customer-facing engineering roles
• Track record of reusable patterns or platforms
• Experience collaborating with architecture, product, and platform teams
• Strong understanding of software delivery lifecycle and production readiness in enterprise settings
• Exposure to regulated delivery contexts (financial services, tax, healthcare, risk)

Responsibilities

• Serve as cross-engagement technical authority ensuring architecture intent, safety, and cost constraints in regulated environments
• Synthesize learnings into durable reference integrations and reusable patterns
• Work with AI agents to support safe-to-ship decisions with evidence
• Act as player-coach guiding delivery teams toward repeatable approaches
• Consolidate cross-cell signals into evidence-based recommendations for platform investments
• Partner with Product Engineering and Product Architecture to package patterns into technical business cases
