Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum of six years in information technology, systems engineering, cloud engineering, software development, or a related field.
• Broad experience across multiple enterprise IT domains and understanding of how applications, infrastructure, cloud services, identity, networking, and cybersecurity interact.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across multiple technology layers.
• Hands-on experience with Python and/or PowerShell for scripting, automation, or development.
• Experience with APIs, JSON, authentication, and system-to-system integrations.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure or another major cloud platform and with generative AI / AI APIs or automation technologies.
• Working knowledge of application development, identity and access management, enterprise networking, cybersecurity fundamentals, and modern software practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE clearance.

Responsibilities

• Partners with business units, engineers, IT teams, and stakeholders to translate problems into AI and automation solutions.
• Designs and develops AI-powered applications, agents, workflows, and integrations.
• Builds AI solutions using Azure OpenAI, Foundry, Copilot Studio, and LLM APIs.
• Develops scripts, applications, APIs, and lightweight web apps using Python/PowerShell/JS/TypeScript/C#/.NET.
• Integrates AI solutions with Microsoft 365, Graph, ServiceNow, databases, REST APIs, and other systems.
• Applies AI patterns including tool calls, agentic workflows, retrieval-augmented generation, and human-in-the-loop processes.
• Architects and deploys solutions using Azure services, identities, networking, containers, APIs, and security controls.
• Collaborates with cybersecurity, architecture, infrastructure and application teams to ensure security and governance.
• Troubleshoots across app, auth, network, cloud, and infrastructure layers.
• Rapidly prototypes new tech and documents patterns for production transition.
