Job summary

Leidos is seeking a senior AI/Cloud Architect to lead advanced development across Sea-based systems, collaborating with pipeline engineering and deployment teams to deliver capabilities surpassing benchmarks through emergent AI technologies and next-generation methodologies.

You will architect AI-enabled solutions, secure and automate AWS cloud initiatives, and optimize agent and customer experiences while adhering to governance, compliance, and security standards.

Qualifications

• Requires BS degree (Computer Science, Engineering or related field) with 12+ years of relevant experience or MS with 10+ years, or 7 additional years in lieu of a degree.
• 9+ years leading, designing and implementing distributed solutions.
• 7+ years experience with cloud-based solutions (Cloud, SOA, Web-Services).
• DoD 8570 Certification Compliance (IAT Level 2/3).
• Must possess TS Clearance with ability to obtain SCI with CI Poly.
• Familiar with Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, Python, Gitlab, CloudFormation, Zabbix, ACAS, PostgreSQL, Scrum/Kanban, Terraform.
• Knowledge of SDLC and AGILE best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead advanced development efforts and collaborate with pipeline engineering and deployment teams.

• Collaborate on AI architectures, including operational status, code improvements, and dashboard tooling with a security focus.
• Support Leidos AI initiatives, providing insight into technologies, tooling and practices.
• Design, secure and automate AWS cloud initiatives while optimizing agent and customer experiences.
• Enhance software development flows, quality metrics, KPIs, and dashboards with AI.
• Apply systems engineering lifecycle experience to cloud initiatives and architectural design and development.
• Lead teams to deploy and configure services with AI tools.
• Ensure AI models, pipelines, and cloud-deployed services adhere to governance, compliance and security standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead advanced development efforts and collaborate closely with pipeline engineering and deployment teams
• Architect solutions, tackle sophisticated challenges across Sea-based systems and deliver capabilities that exceed current performance benchmarks through the integration of emerging AI technologies, advanced features, and next-generation methodologies
• Strong collaboration with team’s in the design and implementation of AI architectures to include operational status, coding improvements, dashboard tooling including security
• Supports Leidos AI initiatives, providing insight into technologies, tooling and practices
• Designs, secures and automates AWS cloud initiatives while optimizing agent and customer experiences to full AI potential
• Optimize and enhance customer experiences, enhancing software development flows, quality metrics, KPIs, and Dashboards with AI
• Provides broad-based experience in the systems engineering lifecycle and applies experience/knowledge to cloud initiatives relating to architectural design and development
• Leads team’s to deploy and configure services with AI tools
• Ensures AI models, pipelines, and cloud-deployed services adhere to governance, compliance, and security standards, providing guidance on responsible AI implementation across mission systems

Requirements

• Requires BS degree (Computer Science, Engineering or related field) and 12+ year’s of prior relevant experience OR, MS with 10+ year’s of prior relevant experience; OR 7 years of additional experience in lieu of degree
• 9+ year’s experience leading, designing and implementing distributed solutions
• 7+ year’s experience with cloud-based solutions (Cloud, SOA, Web-Services) including virtualization environment, network and operating system experience
• Must possess and maintain a TS Security Clearance with the ability to obtain SCI with a CI Poly
• DoD 8570 Certification Compliance (IAT Level 2/3)
• Familiar with team collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, RocketChat)
• Experience in Cloud and PaaS environments
• Subject Matter Expertise understanding across various AI technologies
• Familiar with the following: Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, Python, Gitlab, CloudFormation, Zabbix, ACAS, PostgreSQL, Scrum, Kanban, Terraform
• Knowledge of SDLC and AGILE best practices
• Windows Domain Administrator of user accounts and group policy objects and Linux administration
• Leadership experience demonstrating a positive, willing attitude and excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with executive-level leadership (internal and client) on high-impact organizational and program matters
• Demonstrates ability to adapt to new AI technologies and learn quickly.
