Job summary

Oscar Health is seeking a Senior Security AI Engineer 1 to join our Security Engineering team in New York City. The role focuses on safeguarding Oscar’s digital ecosystem and shaping secure AI deployment across data, engineering, privacy, HR, and compliance.

Hybrid work with three in-office days per week. Base pay ranges from $163,944 to $215,176 per year, with eligible benefits, equity grants, and annual performance bonuses.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in technical security engineering or related field.
• Experience with data security or AI frameworks.
• Ability to collaborate with Data, Engineering, Privacy, HR and Compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead secure AI data and model lifecycle, including secure deployment and guardrails.
• Design automated controls to mitigate prompt injection and data exfiltration while enforcing least privilege across LLMs and workflows.
• Drive threat modeling and red-team exercises against AI systems and map to industry frameworks.
• Develop metrics and reporting to evaluate AI security initiatives and compliance.
• Champion secure-by-default blueprints and foster a security-first culture across teams.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
