Job summary

State Street’s CyberDNA team seeks a Senior AI Security Automation Engineer to advance AI-enabled cybersecurity data, analytics, and platforms. You will architect scalable AI security solutions, deploy agentic workflows, and drive secure, governed AI adoption across global security operations.

The role combines AI, cybersecurity, data engineering, and full-stack development, with leadership responsibilities and a focus on reliability, observability, and secure coding practices.

Qualifications

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, AI, data science, cybersecurity, or related field.
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 3+ years developing AI, ML, or Generative AI solutions.
• Proven success designing and deploying enterprise-scale applications and platforms.
• Experience developing cybersecurity, analytics, or operational intelligence solutions.

Responsibilities

• Drive architecture and hands-on delivery of scalable AI security platforms for security workflows.
• Design production-grade AI systems including agents, skills, memory patterns, and guardrails.
• Architect retrieval and context-engineering approaches using embeddings and semantic search.
• Engineer cloud-native AI services in AWS, Azure, and GCP with containers and serverless patterns.
• Optimize platform performance: latency, throughput, scalability, caching, cost controls.
• Build well-governed APIs and integrations to security tools and business processes.
• Establish evaluation, testing, and observability frameworks to improve quality and agent behavior.
• Define engineering standards for reliability, security, and safe AI operation.
• Mentor junior engineers and influence architectural direction through reviews and forums.
• Apply enterprise AI tooling and secure coding standards; share learnings for team-wide impact.
