Job summary

LaunchDarkly is seeking an SDK Engineer for the AI Configs team to build the primary customer touchpoint for GenAI features. You will develop the Python and TypeScript SDKs, contribute beyond wrappers, and ensure high performance, concurrency, and maintainability across platforms.

You will work with OpenAI and Vercel AI SDKs, drive feature releases with cross-functional teams, and actively maintain open-source repos while advocating best practices and strong testing.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with Python and Typescript.
• Experience building libraries/packages used by other developers.
• Experience with AI SDKs such as OpenAI or Vercel AI SDKs.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of open-source AI SDKs, implementing new features and keeping up-to-date with development practices.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to drive major feature releases.
• Improve developer experience touch points within the SDK.
• Actively maintain open-source repositories.
• Identify areas of improvement and advocate best practices.
• Shape technology and product decisions.
