Lead backend design, REST APIs, and data integrations with BigQuery, mentor engineers, and shape the technical roadmap while balancing speed, reliability, and scalability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience
• Experience building internal tools or data-driven apps
• Experience architecting production web apps with React or Next.js
• Experience designing and scaling REST APIs (FastAPI or similar)
• Deep SQL knowledge and data warehouses (BigQuery/Snowflake)
• Proven ability to own systems end-to-end
• Mentoring engineers and establishing engineering standards
• Strong communication with non-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Architect and build internal web apps with NextJS and FastAPI
• Design and own backend services and REST APIs
• Integrate BigQuery pipelines and metadata into user-facing products
• Drive features from concept to production with ownership of design and reliability
• Solve cross-stack problems balancing speed and maintainability
• Mentor junior engineers through reviews and pairing
• Set engineering standards for code quality and testing
• Shape roadmap and architecture as the team scales
